Dogpile, owned by InfoSpace, Inc., was founded in January 1996. The metasearch engine provides users with search results from Ask.com, Google, Yahoo!, MSN, About, LookSmart and Overture. In early 2005, Dogpile enhanced its IntelliFind technology with the integration of Yellow Pages data and their Web Site Match feature, which matches queries against a database of popular Web sites and suggests exact matches. Users may view search results by relevance or search engine, and can refine queries with provided terms. A Dogpile toolbar is offered, as well as Favorite Fetches, a section that provides the most frequently searched topics.
